FCI has it easy

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 11. Food Corporation of India (FCI) recorded a nine-wicket win against AP High Court in the A-Institution league cricket championship for Maj. Guruswamy Trophy here on Saturday.

The scores: A-Institution league: AP High Court 122 (Siraj 31, Sanjay Sahu four for 22) lost to FCI 124 for one (Venu Madhav 39 not out, Rajendra 59 not out).

HMT Bearings 144 (Amitabh 31, Anjaneyulu 43, Prasad four for 28, Sk. Dadar three for 29) lost to Hyd. Bottling 145 for five (Sk. Dadar 48, Karamat 40, Prashanth three for 18).

Midhani 188 (Anil Kumar 46, Sunil 46, Leslie Wilfred three for 47) bt Postal 175 (Sunder Rajan 42, G. Kiran Kumar four for 41).

A-Division (two-day) league: P & T Colony 82 (L. Santosh Kumar six for 30, Ravi four for 14) lost to CCH 83 for three (S. Arun Kumar 42 not out). Brothers XI 243 (Surya Mangeshkar 62, Syed Mansoor 56, Srikanth Raju three for 41, Mohd Shaker three for 58) lost to Vijay Hanuman 244 for four (Mohammaed Taher 39, Mohammed Sami 103, Zubair Hussain 46, Tejasvi 31 not out). PKMCC 100 (Sripal Reddy 31, Harpal Singh three for 44, Taranjeet Singh six for 25) lost to R. Dayanand 102 for two (Vishwak 56, Ravikanth 31 not out).
