Mann's team wins
CHENNAI,
SEPT. 11.
Gurbaaz Mann led his team to victory in the pro-am event of the Amby Valley-MGC Open at the Madras Gymkhana Club Golf annexe here on Saturday. The Chandigarh professional carded four-under 66 (40 stableford points) to grab the `best individual pro' prize too. The winning team, apart from Gurbaaz, comprised Chummar Vargheese, Vivek Varma and S. Surya Kumar. The quartet logged 118 stableford points and won by eight points over the second-placed team of two-time Indian Open winner Ali Sher. K.V. Balachader, Paul Raj and Sukumar Raja were the amateurs in the team.
The quartet of Rohtas Singh (professional) and amateurs B. Ponkumar, V.P. Ganesh and G. Chandrashekar finished third with 109 stableford points.
