Kusale sets new meet record

COIMBATORE, SEPT. 11. Kusale Tejas Ramesh of NCC set the lone meet record on day six of the 14th all-India G.V. Mavlankar shooting championship at the Coimbatore Rifle Club shooting range here today.

Kusale improved the existing mark of 534 set by Shankar Gurung at Coimbatore in 2002 by 11 points in the small bore free rifle three position 50m championship for junior men.

The results:

SB free rifle 3 position 50m individual (Men Services): 1. Hari Om Singh (Army) 558, 2. S. Balamurugan (BSF) 556, 3. Naresh Katoch (Army).

Men: 1. Yogesh Gadmale (Mah) 539, 2. Sagar Kulkarani (Mah) 530, 3. Gurdeep Singh (Pun) 530.

Women: 1. G.A. Supriya Devi (Mani) 529, 2. G. Rubana (TN) 520, 3. Seuli Sadhukhan (NRAI).

Junior men: 1. Kusale Tejas Ramesh (NCC) 545 (NMR), 2. Jesvanth Das (Ker) 524, Mohite Indrajeet (NCC) 524.

Jr. Men Services: 1. Hari Om Singh (Army) 558, 2. Devesh Panwar (Army) 549, 3. Satyendra Singh (Army) 548.
