NEW DELHI, SEPT. 11. A woman and her paramour were stabbed to death allegedly by the former's husband at New Ashok Nagar in East Delhi today. The accused has been arrested. The Police Control Room received a call around 10-15 a.m. claiming that a man and a woman had been stabbed in a house at E-Block in New Ashok Nagar. The police reached the spot and found the body of a man, later identified as 25-year-old Vikram Sharma. He had been stabbed thrice. The woman, identified as Usha (23) was lying grievously injured with two stab injuries. She was rushed to GTB Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Following preliminary investigations, the police arrested Devender, Usha's husband. Devender told the police that his wife had been having an affair with Vikram and was not prepared to call off the relationship. On Friday evening, she went missing from their accommodation in the factory complex at Noida, where Devender worked. He looked for her at many places but could not find her. Finally, Devender decided to check if she was with Vikram at his house in New Ashok Nagar. He reached there today around 10 a.m. and reportedly saw his wife with Vikram in a compromising position. He then stabbed the two and fled from the spot. Devender also reportedly told the police that he felt no remorse for his act. The police said shortly before the incident, Shanta, Vikram's elder sister, had also come to his house and tried to persuade Vikram and Usha to call off the relationship but in vain. She then left Vikram's house and had gone only some distance when she saw Devender entering the house. A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered at New Ashok Nagar police station.
