CHENNAI, SEPT. 11. A seminar on "Consumer Protection-Awareness and Education" was organised in the city today by Inner Wheel clubs, a global-level service organisation of women. The meet in which over 200 members participated was organised jointly with the support of the Consumer Action Group (CAG), besides corporates such as TVS Motors, Airtel, Indian Overseas Bank, Indian Oil Corporation and United India Insurance. Urmila Bareja, All-India president Inner Wheel Association, inaugurated the meet. Inner Wheel District International Service Organiser, Revathy Raja, said the meet had a prime objective of helping its members educate weaker sections of society on their rights as consumers.
