Non-gazetted officers' demand
The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' Association on Saturday demanded that the Government reinstate Mr. Prabhakara Reddy Mr. Krishna Prasad, as they could not be held guilty for the tragic incident that involved "collective responsibility." "It is not right to single out the two officials and punish them. If the Government considers them responsible because they were heading the two departments, the Ministers who supervised the arrangements should also resign," APNGOs president, B.V. Subba Rao, said. He was addressing a press conference here on Saturday.
