Rain likely

Generally cloudy sky with a spell of rain in parts of city is the forecast for Sunday.

The city on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 29.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 20.3 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 65 per cent and nil rainfall.

`Gyan Sandhya'

Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya is launching a special programme `Gyan Sandhya' from Sunday.

A release said that spiritual discourses, guided mediation, experience sharing, service news etc., would mark the activities every Sunday at 5.30 p.m on Shanti Sarovar Campus beside Infosys, Gachibowli.

Yoga camp

The Kriya Yoga Health Centre, Bagh Lingampally, is conducting a Yoga camp from Monday.

A release said that all those interested in learning Yoga to overcome their physical and mental disorders through natural and drugless treatment and therapies could join the 10-day camp. Chronic conditions like asthama, diabetes, hypertension, obesity and anxiety could be tackled through regular practice of yoga, it added.

Film preview

The Road Transport Authority (RTA) along with the traffic police will be exhibiting a preview of three short films based on road safety at 10.30 a.m at Prasad Laboratories, Jubilee Hills on Sunday. The Home Minister K.Jana Reddy and Transport Minister S.Santosh Reddy will be present, according to a press release.

Speech therapy

A free speech therapy camp for patients with poor speech due to cleft lip and cleft palate surgery will be organised by the Plastic Surgery department of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences here on Monday.

The NIMS Director, P.Rajagopal, in a release said that the patients would be given free evaluation and treatment including investigations like Nosal endoscopy and X-ray. The evaluation would be done by experts from USA and Sweden, he added.

Celebration

T.Stanley Babu, General Manager, South Central Railway, has been elected Honorary Chairman of the United Christmas Celebrations Committee-2004, according to a press release. This year, the celebrations will be held at Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens, on December 18 and the committee will chalk out a detailed programme.
