Non-bailable warrant issued in dacoity case
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
SEPT.11.
The Saidabad police issued a non-bailable warrant against Kanna Rao, believed to be a relative of the Union Minister and TRS president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, for not attending court proceedings in a dacoity case.
According to the police, Kanna Rao is one of the accused in the dacoity at the house of S. Bala Nagamani, a resident of Saraswati Nagar in Saidabad in March 2002.
Kanna Rao, a native of Karimnagar district, was then arrested by the Punjagutta police and handed over to the Saidabad police. He came out on bail and was reportedly absconding.
However, despite several summons from the court, he failed to turn up during the proceedings. Following this, the Saidabad police issued the warrant against him, based on the directions of the court.
