Unpleasant episode

Sir, — Why was Indian journalist Kanwar Sandhu asked to leave Pakistan now for an alleged visa violation in 1991? If he had broken the law, why was he given a visa this time? One hopes this is just a stray incident and not an indication that cracks are beginning to appear in the ongoing peace process.
