CAB 246 for nine

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 12. Cricket Association of Bengal faltered after a promising start to finish the first day at 246 for nine in 90 overs against MRF-Chennai in the four-day final of the all-India Coromandel King Moin-ud-Dowla invitation cricket tournament here on Sunday.

Electing to bat, openers Arindam Das (30) and Anustup Majumdar (49) got CAB off to a good start with a stand of 62. Rakesh Krishnan (33) and Anustup then stuck around for a 51-run partnership.

The scores: CAB 246 for nine in 90 overs (Arindam Das 30, Anustup Majumdar 49, Rakesh Krishnan 33, Murtaza Lodgar 31 not out) vs MRF Chennai.
