Bus fares to go up

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE, SEPT. 12 . The Minister for Transport and Water Resources, M. Mallikarjun Kharge, has said that the bus fares will be increased shortly.

Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Kharge said the Government had not increased bus fares even though diesel prices had gone up.

The Karnataka Road Transport Corporation had incurred a loss of Rs. 2 crores. To avoid further losses to the KSRTC and other corporations, the fares had to be increased, he said.
