THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 12. Four persons, including a pedestrian and three two-wheeler riders, were killed when a speeding mini lorry ran over them on the National Highway at Thattupalam near Navayikulam in the Kallambalam police station limits this evening. The victims included a woman and child. The police said the lorry, coming from Attingal to Kollam, lost control and collided with the two-wheeler carrying George Jose (44), his wife Lali Jose (36) and their nine-year-old son Glen Jose. While Mr. Jose and his wife died on the spot, their son succumbed to injuries on the way to the Medical College Hospital. The lorry then ran over Shamsuddin (60) who was waiting for a bus by the roadside. The lorry driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene. The police and local people rushed the victims to the Medical College Hospital where all four were declared dead on arrival.
