IA flight turns back to save infant
NEW DELHI,
SEPT. 12.
An Indian Airlines Delhi-Bangalore flight had to return to the capital within 40 minutes of take-off this morning as an infant on-board required emergency medical attention.
The flight, IC 803, that took off at 0615 hrs returned to Delhi airport around 0805 hrs because a two-and-half-month-old baby developed serious breathing difficulties.
The child, accompanied by his parents, was rushed to the AIIMS. Later, the flight took off for its destination.
In a similar incident, on July 29 a Delhi-Bangalore Indian Airlines flight had to be diverted to Hyderabad as an infant developed medical problems. UNI
