NELLORE, SEPT. 12. The Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, P. Lakshmi, said instructions had been issued to senior officials of the Ministry to implement a health insurance policy. Addressing a gathering at Chinnacherukuru village of Nellore district on Sunday, in connection with a free health camp under the auspices of SVIMS super speciality hospital, Tirupati, the Minister urged the voluntary associations to arrange such camps keeping in view the interests of people in rural areas. She assured support for these ventures from her ministry. The Director, SVIMS, G. Subramanyam, stressed the need for timely medical assistance to people. He said the SVIMS had so far organised 100 free camps, benefiting more than 2.20 lakh people.
