CPI(M), rivals fight over site
By Our Special Correspondent
TIRUPATI. Sept. 12. The war of words between the Chittoor district CPI(M) unit and its break-away group, People's Front, over its party office site in the BTR colony here, continues.
On Saturday it was the People's Front's turn to lay siege to the RDO's office here and submit a memorandum seeking the District Collector's intervention in booking the land grabbing case and arresting those involved in the incident.
The CPI(M) unit demanded the immediate arrest of Mr. Malyadri and his `group' for their alleged violation of court orders. Both the factions released press notes defending their case and speaking of how the other allegedly broke the law. The groups also listed welfare measures undertaken by them in the communist-dominated BTR colony.
