PNB claims title

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 12. Punjab National Bank defeated Food Corporation of India (FCI), North Zone, 6-1 after leading 2-0 at the interval, in the final of the ONGC Delhi State institutional hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Sunday.

Baxus Toppo (2), Prem Kumar (2), Gaganpreet Singh and Rupinder scored the goals for the winner. Kuljinder reduced the margin by converting a penalty stroke.

In the club league, Richie XI beat Adivasi Club 8-1 and Indpendent Club beat Delhi Stars 5-1.
