NIZAMABAD, SEPT. 12. The Minister for Rural Development and Rural Water Supply, D. Srinivas, has said that the Government will construct community halls for Scheduled Castes in all villages. Replying to felicitation given to him on behalf of nine Dalit organisations at the Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium here this evening, he said the Congress Government planned to allot two-third houses to Dalits. He also said that in the land development scheme to be launched on November 19 on the occasion of Indira Gandhi birth anniversary, top priority would be accorded to the assigned lands given to SCs. Accusing the Telugu Desam Party of totally neglecting SCs, STs and the weaker sections during its rule, he said the Congress Government was committed to their welfare. The MP, Madhu Goud Yaskhi, the MLA, S. Gangaram, and other elected representatives were also honoured.
