CHENNAI, SEPT. 12. It's easy to say September 10, 2004 was a Friday. But what day was June 13, 1978? Or August 15, 1947? N. Mareesh, an engineering student of Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Virudhunagar, recently set a record taking just 1.56 seconds to tell the day of the week when he was given the month, date and year. According to the organisers of the event, Mareesh's feat bettered the world record of three seconds held by Gert Mittring. Mareesh is a student of the MAX Academy of Excellence, an organisation that trains people to set Limca and World records. Another record of sorts was set when MAX director, JN Reddy, changed the handwriting of three people on the spot in just 9.44 minutes in the presence of a jury.
