Fleeing `robbers' killed in accident

DINDIGUL, SEPT. 12. Two persons, suspected to be involved in a robbery at Dharapuram in Erode district, were killed when their motorcycle collided head-on with a jeep at Chinniagoundenvalasu today. Another person has been admitted to hospital. Three one-foot-long knives and Rs. 12,700 in cash were recovered.

The police suspect that the accused might have robbed cash from a petrol bunk at Dharapuram. The deceased could not be identified, as the injured was unable to speak.
