COIMBATORE, SEPT. 12 . A training programme on manufacture of tomato products will be conducted at the food processing pilot plant of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University TNAU, on September 22 and 23. A University release said that the products would include sauce, ketchup, paste, pickle and chutney. Trainees will learn the processing technology and also gain exposure to the pilot scale machinery operation for tomato products preparation. Classes will be from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates could register their names on or before September 15, by post or in person. Selection would be on a first-come-first-served basis. Chosen candidates would be informed by post. Training fee of Rs. 500 should be paid through demand draft drawn in favour of the Dean (Engineering), and sent to the Professor and Head, Post Harvest Technology Centre, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore - 641 003.
