KOCHI, SEPT. 12. The Leader of the Opposition, V.S. Achuthanandan, has called upon the people to fight against the State Government policies that was creating hardship even in day-to-day life. He was talking after inaugurating the Madhavan Master Memorial Building, the new office of the CPI (M) Vennala local committee, at Alinchuvadu here on Sunday. He pointed out that the Government policies had affected the key sectors of society, including education and health. The noted writer, M.N. Vijayan, offered felicitations at the function. The Kochi Mayor, C.M. Dinesh Mani, the CPI (M) district secretary, Gopi Kottamurikkal, K.J. Jacob, C.K. Manishankar, K.M. Unnikrishnan, the councillor, C.J. Sindhu, and V.K.Prakasan spoke at the function. The family members of the late CPI (M) leaders, Madhavan and Gopalji, were also present. The CPI (M) Vennala local committee secretary, A.N. Santhosh, presided.
