MADURAI, SEPT. 12. The Government has sanctioned freedom fighter's family pension to R. Parvathiammal, wife of late Ramayya Mudaliar, of West Masi Street, Madurai. A screening committee of the district administration, which examined the application of Ms. Parvathiammal, recommended that she be given family pension. The Public Works Department Minister, O. Panneerselvam, handed over the pension order to Parvathiyammal at the Collectorate on Saturday. She would get a monthly pension of Rs. 1,500 as well as a medical allowance of Rs. 15. The Collector, D. Raajendiran, was present.
