HYDERABAD, SEPT. 12. A student of Class X, Sheelam Swathi (15), committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in Neredment on Saturday. In a five-page note, purportedly written by Swathi, it was stated that one of the woman teachers of the school recently scolded her for not faring well in the exams, the police said. Daughter of Raji Reddy, a Reserve Police Inspector, Swathi, was studying in Nalanda School. "The girl wrote about a whole lot of other reasons that drove her to frustration," the Malkajgiri ACP, P. Prabhakar Reddy, said. However, there was no specific mention of anyone harassing her, he added. Addressing her parents in the note, Swathi stated that she was worried as she could not improve her performance in studies.
