Cloudy sky

A partly cloudy sky with no major change in day and night temperature in the city has been forecast for Monday. The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 30.7 degree Celsius and minimum temperature was 19.6 degree Celsius with a relative humidity of 61 per cent.

Patil to open auditorium

The Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil, is slated to inaugurate the Ravi Narayana Reddy Memorial Auditorium and deliver the Ravi Narayana Reddy memorial lecture on September 21 at 4 p.m.

The inauguration of the auditorium, located near Lotus Pond on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, and the lecture are open to the general public.

Management

session

Literacy House, Andhra Mahila Sabha, is holding a session on `Self-management' at its campus on Osmania University road on Monday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance for the session is free. Details can be had over phone numbers 27098406 and 27096464.

Date extended for course

The last date for registration for the intensive course in English grammar and vocabulary and advanced course in communication skills and personality development offered by Centre for English Language Training, Department of English, University College of Engineering, has been extended to September 17.

Seminar held

The Centre for IT in Building Science (CBS), International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), organised a free two-hour seminar on IT applications for intelligent buildings and energy efficient building design on its premises on Sunday.

The centre is also offering two short-term courses on these subjects.

Xerox Modicorp has been adjudged the winner of Photo Expo's best exhibitor award. It was selected for best display, impressive demonstration of digital studio set-up and for the special and exclusive exhibition offers.

The award was presented to Jaganmohan, product sales manager, Xerox Modicorp, by V.V. Ramana of Villart Photography.
