Bhaskar upsets Jain

CHENNAI, SEPT. 13. Third seed Arnav Jain was upset by wildcard entrant Anantha Bhaskar 6-3, 6-1 in the first round of the TTT-ITF junior tennis championship here on Monday.

The Chennai-based Bhaskar broke Jain in the sixth game of the first set and raced to a 5-2 lead before closing it out 6-3 in 25 minutes. In the rain-interrupted second set Jain was broken in the very first game, and Bhaskar then held serve at love. Bhaskar took a 3-0 lead, breaking his opponent's serve again, before Jain broke the former's serve for the first and only time in the match. Bhaskar then won the next three games on the trot to win the match.
