Naren & Ram emerge overall winners
PANAJI,
SEPT. 13.
Naren Kumar and co-driver D. Ram Kumar of team MRF from Coimbatore, emerged the overall winners of the two-day WIAA Rally De Goa 2004', the fourth leg of the MAI Indian National car rally championship, which concluded here today.
Out of the four rallies, Naren Kumar has won two at Bangalore and Goa while his teammate Vikram Mathais and co-driver Sujith Kumar who finished overall second in the 1600/INRC class category was the winner at the Kochi rally.
Naren Kumar driving a Maruti Baleno in the 1600/INRC class claimed first place with a timing of 1:13:32.
In the 1,400cc category, Prithvin Rajan and co-driver P.V.S. Murthy came first with a timing of 1:18:44 and was placed third overall.
In the Gypsy Cup, Anil Wadia and co-driver K. Pradeep Kumar claimed top honours with a timing of 1:24:16.
In the Rally Star Cup, Sanjay Agarwal and Chandramouli emerged winners with a timing of 1:00:11. — UNI
