Rain likely in Pondicherry

CHENNAI, SEPT. 13 . Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at a few places other interior Karnataka isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema and dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Shirali 5, Mangalore Airport, Mangalore, Puttur (Dakshina Kannada dt.), Yelburga (Koppal dt.) and Ammathy (Kodagu dt.) 2 each and Amini Divi, Minicoy, Karkala (Udupi dt.), Udupi, Bijapur, Hirekerur (Haveri dt.), Hanumasagar (Koppal dt.), Narsirajapura (Chickmagalur dt.), Madikeri and Virajpet (Kodagu dt.) 1 each.

WEATHER FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal and south interior Karnataka isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.
