IIIE, Coimbatore Chapter gets award
COIMBATORE: The National Council of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) has conferred the `Krish Pennathur' shield for 2003-04 on the Coimbatore chapter of IIIE. In a communication, Varghese Mathew, Chairman of IIIE, said the award was conferred considering the contributions made by the chapter in promoting industrial engineering and productivity in South India. The chapter, which is functioning in the Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), had won the award thrice in the past. The award will be presented to the principal of KCT, K. K. Padmanabhan, during the 46th annual convention of IIIE at Thiruvananthapuram on September 24. — Our Staff Reporter
