Lalu Prasad to visit State

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
SEPT. 13.
The Union Minister for Railways and leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lalu Prasad, will arrive in the State capital from Kanyakumari on September 21 en route to Delhi.
Mr. Prasad will stay overnight at Kanyakumari on September 20 after inaugurating the gauge conversion of the Madurai-Virdunagar-Tenkasi stretch at Rajapalayam. The Minister will proceed to Thiruvananthapuram Central by a special train on September 21 morning from Kanyakumari.
Mr. Prasad, after his official engagements in the State capital, will leave for New Delhi by a scheduled Indian Airlines flight in the afternoon. This is Mr. Prasad's first visit to the State after becoming Union Minister in the United Progressive Alliance Government.
