MYSORE, SEPT. 13. Kannada activists took out a rally in the city today supporting the demands of the Kannada film industry. Activists representing different pro-Kannada organisations in the city gathered under the banner of the Dr. Rajkumar Fans' Association and marched through the main thoroughfares of the city. The activists supported the demands of the Kannada film industry, but criticised the film exhibitors' opposition to the State Government's decision to postpone the release of non-Kannada films for seven weeks from the date of their release. The protesters also demanded the establishment of a High Court Bench in north Karnataka. The rally began from Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple in front of the north gate of the Mysore Palace. The former BJP MLA, A. Ramdas also participated in the rally. The Railway Kannada Employees' Association and the Hoysala Kannada Shramajeevigala Sangha participated in the protest.
