Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
Pondicherry Sept.13. A 14-year-old girl, the daughter of a farmer of Sinna Kottakuppam near here, today turned up at the Government General Hospital here carrying a dead snake which had bitten her in the field earlier in the day. The girl was admitted to the emergency ward and was said to be improving. The girl said she anticipated that doctors would ask what kind of snake had bitten her, and therefore carried it to the hospital. The villagers, who heard the screams of the girl, came to her rescue and killed the snake.
