KOCHI, SEPT. 13. The well-known film producer and exhibitor, Palamuttam Majeed (64), died at a private hospital here on Monday. He had been ailing for some time. Majeed, who was the vice-president of the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce and working president of the Kerala Cine Exhibitors' Association, had initiated the formation of the Kerala Cine Exhibitors' Association. Some of his films were `Sthalathe Pradhana Payyans,' `Paithrukam,' `City Police,' and `Keerthanam.' He is survived by his wife, Thankamma Majeed, and children, Anil, Sali and Kaseeba. Two of his sons, Dileep and Sunil, had died earlier.
