Bangalore Sept. 13. The Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, has postponed, by a few days, his visit to New Delhi in connection with the Ministry expansion. He was to have left on Monday and returned on Wednesday. Sources close to the Chief Minister told The Hindu that the Chief Minister had not finalised his travel plans and was only thinking of leaving for New Delhi to hold discussions with the party High Command. He apparently wanted to synchronise his Delhi trip with the return of the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, from the U.S. after attending a Kannada conference. It was stated Mr. Dharam Singh might leave for Delhi on Thursday and the new Ministers might be sworn in on Monday. The Chief Minister is under pressure from the coalition partner, the Janata Dal (Secular), to expand the Ministry. Short-listing the Congressmen who could be accommodated in the Ministry has proved to be a difficult task for him.
