Plantation workers go on stir

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 13. Plantation workers launched an indefinite strike today demanding pay revision, restoration of DA, implementation of a welfare scheme for the workers of small plantations and withdrawal of the increased workload.

Meanwhile, the Government has convened a meeting of the Plantation Labour Committee in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. It will meet at the Labour Commissioner's office in the morning and in the presence of the Labour Minister at the Secretariat Durbar Hall in the evening.
