NEW DELHI, SEPT. 13. Four persons, who were allegedly trying to extort Rs. 6 lakhs from a businessman, have been arrested by the North-West Delhi police. According to the police, the businessman, Abhilash Goel, received a letter in which the culprits demanded Rs. 6 lakhs as protection amount. They directed Mr. Goel to send the money through his employee, Ratan Tali. Mr. Goel then received a phone call in which the caller asked him to deliver the money at Bhopura. Suspecting that Ratan was involved in the extortion bid, the police interrogated him. He broke down and confessed to having conspired with his friends, Virender Choudhary, Ram Kirpal and Kari Nadab, to extort money from Mr. Goel.
