Betting racket busted
NEW DELHI,
SEPT. 13.
Three alleged bookies, who were running a racket in betting on the cricket match between India and Kenya, were arrested from Paschim Vihar in West Delhi by the Inter-State Cell of the Crime Branch on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Neeraj Sehgal, Puneet Sharma and Brij Mohan. The police recovered four mobile phones, recorder, earphone, a television and account books from their possession. They said the accused had accepted the stake amount to the tune of Rs. 20 lakhs from punters.
