NEW DELHI,
SEPT. 13.
The Congress today released the first list of 31 candidates for the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections and 20 candidates for the Assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Nagaland, Goa and Himachal Pradesh.
The names of the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Gegong Apang (Tuting Yingkiong), his son and former Union Minister, Omak Apang (Pasighat) and the State Congress chief, Mukut Mithi (Roing) figure in the list.
The 10 candidates cleared for Uttar Pradesh include the wife of the Aligarh MP, Bijendra Singh.
In Madhya Pradesh, the party has re-nominated Ratnesh Solomon (Nohata).
