Fashion show disrupted

By Our Staff Correspondent

BHOPAL, SEPT. 13. Bajrang Dal activists disrupted a fashion show here last night when a dancer came on stage to dance for a popular Hindi song.

The fashion show was organised to select the finalists of a Mr. and Miss Bharat Contest.

The slogan-shouting activists said they would not tolerate any insult to the Indian culture. The pandemonium resulted in the show being held up for almost half-an-hour.

Only after the organisers promised that nothing indecent would be shown on the stage, did the activists allow the show to resume.

However, as the women participants did not come on stage, many among the audience left.
