Mixed luck for Choice teams

KOCHI, SEPT. 13. The Choice School had mixed luck in the semifinals of the 12th Bhavan's CBSE inter-school basketball tournament at the Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, on Monday.

The Choice boys defeated host Elamakkara BVM 50-35 while its girls lost 10-29 to the host today.

The results (semifinals):

Boys: The Choice, Tripunithura 50 (Abhishek 20) bt BVM, Elamakkara 35 (Nithin Koshy 16); Naval PS, Willingdon Island 42 (Varun 20) bt Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala 22 (Karthik 8).

Girls semifinals: BVM, Elamakkara 29 bt Choice 10; St Peter's, Kadayiruppu 22 bt Delta Study, Fort Kochi 6.

Quarterfinals, boys: Chinmaya, Vaduthala 31 bt Rajagiri PS, Kalamassery 15. — Our Principal Correspondent
