UDUPI, SEPT. 13. Farmers of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts, under the leadership of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, will stage a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's Office here on Wednesday to protest against the non-payment of money to them. In a press release here, the president of the Sangh, Ravindra Gujjarbettu, said that farmers from the district had not been paid for the sugarcane supplied by them to Brahmavar Sugar Factory. The factory owed Rs. 3.5 crores as dues to them. The release said that the Board of Directors of the factory, which could not pay the farmers, had come forward to clear the dues relating to the district administration and others
