Symptoms

Classical dengue fever: Infected person complains of high fever, intense headache, muscle and joint pain, bitter taste, insomnia, anorexia etc.

Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever or Dengue Shock Syndrome: High fever, bleeding from nose, gums, ears and skin. May go into shock due to blood loss.

The fever comes within five to eight days of the mosquito bite.
