Murder threat

The Golconda police on Sunday registered a case against a youngster, Keshav Das of Maruthinagar, for allegedly threatening a girl of ninth standard to accept his love. Das was accused of stalking the girl for the past few weeks. On September 7, he intercepted the girl while she was on her way to the school and allegedly threatened to kill her with a knife if she did not accept his love.

VCDs seized

The Sultanbazar police on Monday arrested two persons -Mohd. Arshad (22) of Uttar Pradesh and Md. Althaf Hussain (22) of city- and seized 250 porno VCDs from their possession.

The two confessed to the police of having procured the VCDs from two agents of Varanasi and Mumbai at the rate of each for Rs. 30 and selling each for Rs. 100, according to a press release.

Bar manager,

7 dancers held

Seven women dancers and the manager of Rukmini bar and restaurant were arrested on Sunday by the Hyderabad Police Task Force (Central) team on the charge of performing and organising obscene dances.

The owners of the bar -- Kondal Reddy and S. Maheswar -- were absconding, a press release said.
