BSNL slashes Advance Rental Deposit

COIMBATORE, SEPT. 13 . The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that the security deposit/Advance Rental Deposit (ARD) payable for basic phone (bfone) connections in the Coimbatore Secondary Switching Area (SSA) had been reduced.

The same could be paid in three instalments, a release from the Principal General Manager (BSNL), Coimbatore, said. Subscribers who apply for new connections with local and 95 dialling facility would have to pay Rs. 400 plus Rs. 600 as installation charges at the time of booking.

Balance of Rs. 600 would be collected in two instalments.

Customers who apply for a new connection with local, 95 level and Subscriber Trunk Dialling (STD) facility would have to pay Rs. 800 plus Rs. 600 as installation charges during booking and balance Rs. 1,200 would be collected in two instalments.

Customers who apply for connections with local, 95 level dialling, STD and International Subscriber Dialling (ISD) would have to pay Rs. 3,000 plus Rs. 500 as installation charges at the time of booking.

The offer would be available for a limited period up to March 31, 2005, the release added.
