Autorickshaw driver's body found

TUMKUR, SEPT. 13. The body of Oba Reddy (35), an autorikshaw driver, was found at Veerammanahalli on Monday evening.

The police said Oba Reddy, a resident of Water Tank Road, was seen driving his vehicle (autorikshaw) along with his two friends at around 4 p.m..

They were going to his native village, Kadpalagere, where they reportedly met his sister, Nagamani, president of the women's wing of the Janata Dal (Secular).

His body was found under a tamarind tree near Veerammanahalli at around 7 p.m.

The police, who found a bottle of poison near the body, suspect that he was murdered.

The police have taken into custody his two friends who had gone with him for questioning.
