KOCHI, SEPT. 13. The noted critic, M.K. Sanu, has said that the State needs a comprehensive environment policy in view of the increasing threat to its ecology. Speaking at the release of the revised version of the book Bhoomiku Pani, written by P.S. Gopinathan Nair here on Sunday, Mr. Sanu said that the indiscriminate exploitation of nature was prevalent all over the world. He said that the country had always advocated a close association between nature and mankind. The Director-in-charge of the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management, E.J. James, presided over the meeting.
