KOCHI, SEPT. 13 . The District Planning Committee (DPC) that met at the Collectorate on Monday approved the development plans submitted by the Kochi Corporation and the Ernakulam District Panchayat. In all, 330 projects worth Rs. 20 crores, submitted by the Corporation, and 502 projects worth Rs. 14. 1 crores, submitted by the District Panchayat, were approved. These projects had been temporarily approved by the committee earlier before they were sent to the State-level technical advisory committee. The plans were approved after incorporating the modifications suggested by the technical advisory committee. The District Collector, A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, and the District Panchayat president, K.B. Muhammedkutty, were present at the meeting.
