Kochi Corporation to go in for dog-traps

KOCHI, SEPT. 13. The Kochi Corporation is planning to acquire 20 dog-traps for sterilising stray dogs as the civic body is flooded with complaints about stray dogs attacking pedestrians and motorists. The dog-trap is designed on the lines of a mousetrap. A bait is placed in the cage. The door of the cage closes once the dog enters the cage. Each cage costs around Rs. 5,000. The trapped dogs would be sterilised.
