CHENNAI, SEPT. 14 . Rainfall occurred at a few places over coastal Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. Chettikulam and Thuraiyur (both Tiruchirapalli dt.) recorded a heavy rainfall of 10 and 8 cms. respectively. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Tiruchirapalli and Tirukoilur (Villupuram dt.) 6 each, Gingee (Villupuram dt.) Kulithalai (Karur dt.) and Kumbakonam (Thanjavur dt.) 5 each, Erode and Thathiengarpet (Tiruchirapalli dt.) 4 each, Ramanathapuram, Kundh Bridge (Nilgiris dt.), Uthagamandalam, Tiruppur (Coimbatore dt.), Sivagangai and Sulya (Dakshina Kannada dt.) 3 each, Valangaiman (Thanjavur dt.), Pondicherry Airport, Sathanur Dam (Thiruvannamalai dt.), Sulur (Coimbatore dt.), Manaparai and Kallakudi (both Tiruchirapalli dt.), Tiruchirapalli Airport, Kodaikanal, Valparai, Ramagundam and Mannarkkad (Palakkad dt.) 2 each and Paramathi Velur (Namakkal dt.), Pudukottai, Tondi, Ambur (Vellore dt.), Karur Paramathi, Melur and Mettupatti (both Madurai dt.), Manamadurai (Sivagangai dt.), Natham (Dindigul dt.), Chembarambakkam (Tiruvallur dt.), Paderu (Visakhapatnam dt.), Agumbe and Krishna Raja Sagar (Mandy dt.) 1 each. FORECAST (valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and north coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka. FARMERS WEATHER BULLETIN FOR TAMIL NADU AND PONDICHERRY (valid until the morning of 16th Sept.): Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: No large change.
