Speaker post: LDF to field Balan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 14. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has decided to field A.K. Balan of the CPI(M) for the Speaker's election, which is slated for September 16.

The LDF State committee took the decision at a meeting here today.

The decision was announced by the Leader of the Opposition, V. S. Achuthanandan.
