Sir, The caution by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to his advisers to "Keep Left sensibilities in mind" (Sept. 14) shows his unenviable situation. The chief executive of a nation should have the courage of conviction to pursue policies best suited for it. As an economist, he knows seeking the opinion of World Bank experts on the Plan is desirable. The Left parties should be made to see things in the proper perspective.
